What is the Sisterhood's Traveling Notebook project?

This project is simple.
One notebook sent around the globe to up to 190 women diagnosed with Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser Syndome (MRKH).
Each MRKH sister gets one page in the Book to do with as she wants... to write a note to the others, share a poem, or a drawing... the page will be a reflection of the person, and it can be filled with whatever she'd like!
Once her page is done, she then mails the Book to another MRKH sister anywhere in the world... and so it continues, until the Book has reached every MRKH sister who wants it.

As of this post, two days after the project was created, there are 120 women from 15 different countries taking part in the project.

This blog will update monthly with tales of where the Book has been, pictures documenting it's journey, and a calculation of the total miles the Book has traveled.

On March 20, 2014 the Book left Kitsap county, Washington USA and is on it's way to Central California USA.  Where it goes from there, only time will tell.
